Sudbury and District Rifle club is a Home Office approved club and as such anyone who applies for membership must be sponsored by at least one full club member.
Before becoming a full member, individuals must have a probationary period of at least three months during which time they must attend and shoot regularly. The probationary member must be given a course in the safe handling and use of firearms on a one-to-one basis.
This applies to all persons joining, whether they have a Firearm Certificate or not.
On successful completion of probation the applicant may apply for full membership and then pays the Full Annual membership of £80 (or pro-rata amount for the first year) plus a £100 joining and training fee.
Prospective members who have no club sponsor are invited to come and say hello on a club day by making a request to membership@sudburydistrictrifleclub.co.uk and arranging a date in advance.
Prospective members may not handle firearms until they have passed their initial safety training.
